El anuncio de los nominados al Emmy 2016 fue presentado por Lauren Graham de “Gilmore Girls” y Anthony Anderson de “Black-ish”.
Entre las sorpresas de la ceremonia se encuentra la primera nominación de Maisie Williams (“Game of Thrones”) y John Travolta (“The People vs O.J. Simpson”).
Para el Emmy 2016 la cadena de televisión abierta que más nominaciones ha recibido es NBC (41). Le siguen ABC (35), CBS (35), Fox (29) y PBS (26). Por el lado del cable, HBO lidera con sus 94 nominaciones. Le siguen FX (54), AMC (24), Comedy Central (17), etc.
“Game of Thrones” de HBO es la serie más nominada, con 23 opciones de llevarse estatuillas. La categoría donde tiene más opciones es Mejor Actriz de Reparto, donde compiten Maisie Williams, Lena Headey y Emilia Clarke.
La entrega se realizará el 18 de septiembre y será presentada por Jimmy Kimmel.
