Separan satisfactoriamente a gemelos con mismo cráneo y dos cerebros #Fotos

Gemelos que nacieron unidos fueron separados satisfactoriamente en una operación que duró cerca de 10 horas, la cual es considerada como una de las más complicadas.

Tuga y Yakeen Al Khadar recibieron la intervención de 22 doctores y enfermeras, quienes trabajaron en separar su cráneo, sin tocar sus cerebros.

El doctor Ahmad Al-Furrayan, encargado de esta delicada operación, confesó que tardaron dos horas menos de lo que habían planeado.

“Los gemelos estaban unidos de la cabeza, este fue uno de los casos más complicados”, confesó a la publicación The Sun.

La cirugía fue realizada en el Specialist Children’s Hospital, en Arabia Saudita, en donde previamente realizaron varias intervenciones para separar venas delicadas.

En octubre del 2013, el caso se hizo público cuando el papá de los pequeños confesó que no podía pagar la cirugía, ya que estaba apoyando económicamente a una familia en la guerra.

En Arabia Saudita se han realizado 37 cirugías de gemelos desde 1990, con diferentes casos que provienen de otros países, incluyendo Egipto, Malasia, Polonia y Filipinas, entre otros.
